Overview

Lorb is a powerful orc warmonger who leads a highly mobile nomadic clan. Once a mixture of feared and respected among orc society, Lorb has now become a general serving The Entropy Shepherd, commanding his clan as shock troops in the Shepherd's advancing forces.

Background

Orc Warmonger: Before his alignment with The Entropy Shepherd, Lorb was known as "the most powerful something of the orcs" - a leader whose reputation was built on warfare and conflict.

Profiteer: Lorb and his clan profited from war while simultaneously instigating it, following a pattern of wartime opportunism common among certain orc factions.

Mixed Reputation: Lorb was simultaneously feared for his military power and respected for his capabilities, representing a complex figure within orc society before his corruption.

Lorb's Clan Characteristics

Highly Mobile: Lorb's clan operates with minimal housing and is constantly on the move, making them much more agile than settled orc groups like Kovat.

Always Where the Drama Is: The clan has a reputation for appearing wherever conflict arises, suggesting both opportunism and excellent intelligence gathering.

Minimal Infrastructure: Unlike Kovat's large yurts and semi-permanent structures, Lorb's clan travels light, prioritizing mobility over comfort.

Session 3 Revelation

"Turned to the Dark Side": During Session 3, the Fellowship learned that Lorb and his entire clan have aligned themselves with The Entropy Shepherd, becoming one of the Shepherd's generals.

Player-GM Knowledge Divide: As of Session 3, the Fellowship characters don't yet know about Lorb's betrayal - this information exists in GM knowledge but hasn't been revealed to the party in-character.

Connection to Kurg

Personal Bond: Kurg's female cousin married into Lorb's clan. This cousin was someone Kurg was very close to growing up, creating a personal connection between Kurg and Lorb's forces.

Shepherd's Bond: The Entropy Shepherd forged a bond with Kurg through this connection, using Kurg's cousin as leverage or emotional manipulation.

Family Under Shepherd's Control: Kurg's cousin is now under the Shepherd's control as part of Lorb's clan, creating a potential future confrontation or rescue scenario.
